Hello there! My name is Arthi and I’ve been involved in indie publishing since 2013. This rapidly-changing industry quickly became one of my passions and I’m delighted to share the knowledge, skills, and resources I’ve gained with others looking to make their dream of being a writer come true.
The very idea of writing and publishing a novel is intimidating, but who hasn’t dreamed of being an author since they were a kid? The good news is that the advent of self-publishing and proliferation of independent presses have lowered the barrier for entry for many people, and there are numerous authors around the world now sharing their ideas and thoughts. That’s a great thing. But how do you stand out in a sea of books? And how can you know where to even start?
That’s where I come in. I’ve been involved with several successful pen names and have managed to support myself full-time as an author. I can help make this whole process less intimidating and work with you to give your book the best chance of success. I primarily work as an editor, and I can help polish your book to make sure readers are getting the best possible product. I also edit with an eye for marketability and can ensure your book fits genre conventions and current trends.
If you want to know a bit more about me… I graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2013 with a degree in English Literature. I shortly after stumbled upon the world of independent publishing—and things haven’t been the same since. I’ve managed to make my lifelong dream of becoming a small business owner come true, and I now enjoy being my own boss and working from all kinds of different places.
Gray Feather Press takes its name from my late cockatiel, Tilly, who was my constant companion as I spent many long hours trying to crack the secret of writing and marketing my first books.
